How we use your waitlist details
In short: STAR MAKERS DISTRIBUTION LTD uses the details you give in the waitlist form only to contact you about early access to DistroBricks. We do not sell them, share them for marketing or send you newsletters. You can ask us to delete them at any time.

The data controller is STAR MAKERS DISTRIBUTION LTD, which runs DistroBricks. Company number RC1982022. Registered office: 4 Office Depot Street, Lagos, Nigeria.

What we collect

| To prevent abuse | A one-way, pseudonymised code derived from your network address, used only to limit repeated submissions. It cannot be turned back into the address and is deleted automatically within about two hours. |

Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To contact you about early access — to tell you when a place is available, ask about your business needs and arrange onboarding. Basis: your consent, given with the tick box (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a), and the equivalent basis under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 where it applies).
- To keep the form safe — limiting repeated submissions. Basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the service from spam and abuse.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist details until you join DistroBricks, ask us to delete them or withdraw your consent, and in any case no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you. The anti-abuse code is deleted automatically within about two hours.
Who can see it
Only the DistroBricks team at STAR MAKERS DISTRIBUTION LTD who handle early access. Our details are stored with a cloud service provider that acts as our processor under a data processing agreement and may not use them for its own purposes. We never sell your details or share them with other companies for their marketing.
Where it is processed
Your waitlist details are kept with a trusted cloud provider under a data processing agreement. If details are ever transferred across borders, we use the safeguards the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- see the details we hold about you, and get a copy;
- correct them;
- delete them;
- stop or restrict using them, or object to our use;
- withdraw your consent at any time — this does not affect contact made before you withdrew it.
Write to support@starmakersdistro.com. We answer within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or, in Nigeria, the Nigeria Data Protection Commission — but please contact us first so we can try to help.
Changes
If we change this notice we will update the version date above. If a change affects how we use details you have already given, we will tell you before it applies.
